Shankheshwar Utensils

If you come down to D-10 in Bhayander East, you'll see Shankheshwar Utensils right there. It’s mostly just stacks of stainless steel and copper everywhere you look. My brother and I run the place. We spend a lot of time unboxing new shipments that arrive on the trucks. The noise of metal clanking is something you just get used to after a week or two. It’s pretty loud when a customer wants to see something at the bottom of a pile. We’ve got all sorts of things like big pots for weddings and small spoons for home kitchens. The shop isn't very large so we have to use every inch of space, even the ceiling hooks. Sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in with all the plates and bowls. Bhayander East is a busy area so there's always someone poking their head in to ask a price. We don't really do fancy displays. We just put the stuff out where people can touch it and see if it’s heavy enough. Shankheshwar Utensils is a bit of a local landmark for people moving into new flats nearby. They need everything from a stove to a tawa. We keep a ledger on the old wooden desk by the door. It’s dusty work but someone has to do it. The lights flicker a bit in the back but we know where everything is even in the dark. It’s just a normal shop doing normal business.
