If you know where Chandi High School is in Vasai East, then you have probably seen our place. We are right opposite the school gates. It gets pretty loud around here when the kids are coming or going, but we are used to it by now. The mill has been running for quite some time. We handle dal and we also do a lot of flour. It is a straightforward business. We take the grain and we turn it into what people need for their kitchens. The machines make a steady humming sound that fills the whole building. Sometimes the line for people waiting to get their wheat ground gets a bit long, especially in the mornings. We have a few guys working the grinders and another couple of people handling the bags. It is not a quiet or clean job, but it is necessary work. We don't spend money on fancy signs or anything like that. The name is on the front, and people know what we do. Inside, there are stacks of heavy bags everywhere you look. It’s a bit cramped, especially when a fresh delivery arrives. We just focus on the work at hand and try to make sure the flour is consistent. Life in Vasai East is busy, and being near the school keeps us right in the middle of everything. It's a plain building, but it's where we spend all our time.
