S. K. Drinks

Our place, S. K. Drinks, is located in Village Dhadane. It is quite a peaceful area, being out here in the Dahanu district. We are situated near the Shiv Mandir, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. The roads out this way can be a bit dusty, especially during the dry season, but it is home. Most of the people around here know us because we’ve been part of the village life for some time. We handle different kinds of drinks and bottles throughout the day. The work isn't too complicated, but it keeps us busy from sunrise until it gets dark. Usually, the bells from the temple ring in the morning and that's when we start our shift. It’s nice having the temple so close; it makes the atmosphere feel a bit calmer even when we have a lot of crates to move. Being in a small village means everyone knows everyone else’s business, which has its ups and downs, but mostly it is just supportive. We don't have a big office or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we store the stock and get things ready for transport. Sometimes the electricity goes out when it rains hard, so we just wait it out and start again when the lights come back. It is a quiet life, but we like it that way. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the delivery drivers when they stop by to pick up their loads.
