Mahaveer Dry Foods

Our shop is up on the second floor of the Samarpan Complex. It's room 204. If you know Jesal Park in Bhayander East, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. We spend most of our time surrounded by bags of nuts and dried fruits. It smells quite good, actually. We spend the mornings weighing things out on a small scale. My nephew helps me with the heavy lifting because those big sacks from the market are no joke. Sometimes the lift in the building is broken, so we have to carry everything up the stairs, which really wears you out by the afternoon. We don't really do anything fancy. We just buy the bulk stuff and make sure it’s clean and ready for people to take home. The lighting in the complex isn't the best, so we use a few extra lamps inside our unit. It's a small team, just three of us usually. We talk about the weather or the local cricket scores while we work. It's not a corporate office with suits. It’s just us in our regular clothes trying to keep the dust off the shelves. We’ve been in this same spot for a while and the regulars know exactly where to find us. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid.
