Site Engineer

My name is Sanju, and I’m a site engineer based out of my house, Vishakham. It’s in Santhosh Nagar, Pirayiri, which is in the Palakkad area. The pin code is 678019. Working here in Kerala means you have to deal with a lot of rain during the monsoon, which can really slow down the construction. I spend my days visiting different sites, making sure everything is being built according to the engineering standards. I don’t have a big staff or a corporate office. I just work from my home and handle things myself. Pirayiri is a nice place to live, and it’s close enough to the city for me to get around easily. Engineering on the ground is different from what you learn in books. You have to deal with the soil, the weather, and the workers every single day. I like the challenge of solving problems right there on the spot. People in the neighborhood know me and often ask for my help with their own small building projects. I don't use any fancy marketing slogans or try to sound professional in a corporate way. I just tell people what can be done and what can't. It’s a practical, honest way to work. Most of my time is spent in the mud and dust of the construction sites. That’s just the nature of the job, and I’m used to it by now.
