Out here in Chittilancherry, things move at their own pace. Patel Engineering Ltd has its branch in Nonnamkulam, and it’s a pretty green area compared to the big cities. Palakkad is known for its wind and rain, so we spend a lot of time checking our schedules against the weather. The office is basically where we keep all our tools and records for the local jobs we take on. We’ve got a small team here, just a few of us who handle the day-to-day operations. Often you’ll find us out in the field rather than sitting behind a desk. We deal with a lot of construction and repair work in this part of Kerala. The locals know us well enough by now. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. If someone needs us, they usually just walk in and ask for the supervisor. It gets a bit noisy when the heavy machinery is being loaded up in the morning, but that's just part of the job. We drink a lot of coffee while going over site plans. The building itself is an older one, but it stays cool enough even in the summer. We try to keep our paperwork in order, though the folders tend to pile up by the end of the month. It's honest work and we stay busy most of the year and just keep things grounded.
