Peepul Tree Preschool

Our preschool is located in West Yakkara, over in the Haritha Nagar area near the Fort in Palakkad. It’s a nice, quiet spot for a school. We have a small building that we’ve tried to make look bright for the children. There are drawings on the walls and plenty of toys scattered around the rooms. It’s a place for the very little ones to come and get used to being away from home for a few hours. We spend our time singing songs, playing games, and teaching them how to share with each other. It gets quite loud when they are all here, but that’s just how it is with toddlers. The yard has a bit of space for them to run around, though we have to watch them closely so they don't trip over the roots of the trees. We aren't a big chain or anything; it’s just a local preschool where we know every child’s name and their parents too. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy with crayons and bits of paper, but we clean it up at the end of every day. Parents like that they can just walk over from the nearby houses to pick up their kids. It feels more like a big family than a formal school. We just do our work here in Palakkad, making sure the kids are safe and having a bit of fun while they learn their first letters. It's a nice way to spend the day.
