Kulamulli House is where we have set up our academy in Paruthypra, which is under the Shornur P.O. It’s actually a house that we’ve turned into a place for learning. Shornur is famous for the railway, and we aren't too far from all that action. The house has a bit of a yard and some trees, so it stays relatively cool even when the sun is out. We have a few classrooms set up inside the different rooms of the house. It feels more like a home than a school, which I think helps people feel relaxed when they are trying to practice their English. We have students coming in from all the nearby villages. Usually, there is a lot of laughter coming from the rooms because learning a new language can be funny sometimes. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just some boards and books. The staff here are just regular people who enjoy talking. Sometimes we sit out on the porch during breaks. The road outside isn't very busy, so it stays fairly quiet compared to the bigger towns. We’ve been here at Kulamulli House for a good while now. It’s a comfortable spot for us. People know where we are, and they just walk in when they want to join a class. It’s a very laid-back way of doing things, but it works for us and the students too. We just keep things simple and focus on the talking.
