Swami Vivekanand Integration English School

Located at P 74 in the Midc area of Latur, Swami Vivekanand Integration English School is right in the heart of the industrial zone. It’s an interesting place for a school because of all the warehouses and units nearby, but it stays fairly quiet once you’re inside the gates. We’ve been here for a while now, and the 413531 neighborhood knows us well. The morning starts with the staff arriving and getting the chalk and registers ready. Since we focus on English, you can hear the kids practicing their pronunciation in the hallways, which is always a bit funny to listen to. The classrooms are simple, with basic fans that we have to fix every now and then. Latur gets very hot, so we always make sure there’s enough water in the coolers for everyone. We spend our time checking homework and making sure the kids are following the lessons. The teachers often sit in the yard during their lunch break, under the few trees we have. It’s a lot of work to keep an English-medium school running in an industrial area, but we just take it one day at a time. There’s no big corporate office behind us, just a group of people trying to keep the school going. When the sun starts to set over the Midc sheds, we finish our last bits of grading and head home, ready to start over the next morning.
