Located in National Nagar, Omalur, our school is a familiar sight for anyone living in this part of Salem. It’s a matriculation and higher secondary school, so we have a wide range of students coming through our gates every morning. The area around National Nagar is mostly residential, so the morning walk to school is a regular routine for many of the local families. We’ve been operating here for a good number of years and the school has grown as more people moved into Omalur. The building is spread out, with different blocks for the younger and older kids. It’s not a polished or fancy place, just a collection of solid classrooms where the teachers do their work day in and day out. We have a courtyard where the students gather for the morning assembly and a playground that stays busy during the breaks. The staff are mostly from Salem or the surrounding villages, and they’ve become quite close with the parents over the years. We don't use any marketing tricks to get people to come here. We just provide a place for the kids to study and hope they do well in their exams. The office is small and usually has a few parents waiting to talk to the staff about their children’s progress. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real environment that we’ve been happy to manage for all this time in Omalur.
