You’ll find Muse Public School Sirsod over on Kannanur Mariamman Kovil Street. We’re in Omalur, which is part of the Salem district. The street is usually quite busy, especially near the temple, so there’s always something to see. Our building is a simple one, and it’s where we spend most of our time. We don't have any of those glossy brochures or professional photos. What you see is what you get. The classrooms have wooden desks that have seen plenty of use over the years. We spend our mornings getting things ready for the students and our afternoons making sure everything is shut down properly. It’s a very local operation. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we walk or bike to the school. The atmosphere is pretty informal. We talk to parents at the gate and know most of the people who walk past every day. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit muddy, but we just wipe our shoes and keep going. We don’t use fancy language or try to sound like a big business. We’re just a school in Omalur trying to do our part. It can be a bit chaotic when all the kids are leaving at once, but that’s just part of the job. We focus on the basics and keep the place running as best as we can. It's just a regular school life for us on this street in Salem.
