Trendz Salon For Men & Women

This place is spread across two units, B 166 and 167. We are located in Lok Vihar, right near the Harsh Vihar Chowk. It’s a very busy part of Pitampura. We see both men and women coming in here all day long. It gets a bit loud inside because the main street is right outside our door. I’ve been running Trendz Salon for a few years now. It started out much smaller but eventually we took over the shop next door too. The floor is made of white tile so I have to sweep it every ten minutes or so. Men usually want a quick haircut and then they are gone. The women tend to stay much longer for their work. They talk a lot more too. I have three staff members working with me. They are just young kids who moved here from their villages. I’m trying to teach them how to style hair properly. Sometimes they make small mistakes but they are learning fast. We have a few old magazines sitting on the table. Nobody really reads them these days. They all just look at their mobile phones while they wait for their turn. The water heater takes a long time to start up in the winter. Delhi winters can be very cold in the mornings. We go through a lot of towels every day. I take them all home to wash every night. It’s a lot of extra work but it has to be done to keep things clean.
