About Space Matters Malhotra Association – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in North West
I’ve been working out of this spot in Rani Bagh for a while now. We are at Space Matters Malhotra Association, tucked away in the Community Centre at 202-B. It is one of those buildings where you know everyone by face after a week or two. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you really have to watch your step when you are carrying a lot of folders or files. Sant Nagar is always busy, especially in the afternoons when the shops are all open and people are running their daily errands. Our office isn't anything fancy. It has some desks, a couple of chairs that have definitely seen better days, and a window that lets in just enough light if the day isn't too cloudy. Usually, we start the day by cleaning off the dust that seems to find its way in no matter what we do. Someone usually brings in tea from the stall downstairs around eleven in the morning. We just sit here and get through the paperwork. It can get pretty noisy outside with the traffic, but you get used to it after a few months. There’s a certain rhythm to the place. We don't have a big reception area or anything. If someone comes by, they just pull up a stool near the main desk. Most of the time it’s just us doing our thing and trying to stay organized. It’s a practical setup for what we do here in this corner of Delhi.
