We don’t have a courtyard or a big barn, just a regular living space that we’ve turned into our headquarters. Suman is always on the phone or checking something on the screen to make sure things are moving. The elevator in the building is a bit slow, so taking the stairs is usually faster if we aren't carrying too many heavy things. It’s a busy atmosphere, very different from the quiet of the fields where the produce comes from. Starting this was all about doing things our own way without a boss breathing down our necks. One person runs the show mostly, which means long hours and a lot of coffee to stay awake. The apartment overlooks a bit of the street, and it can get noisy with the traffic downstairs. There isn't a big lobby or a sign on the door, just a small nameplate so people know they have the right flat. It is a simple operation, really. Coordinating deliveries and making sure everything is fresh takes up most of the day. Handling logistics from a residential space is a lot of work.
