Upkar Engineering Works

We are over at 19/174 on Old Rohtak Road, right in the Basti Sarai Rohilla area. It’s an old part of town and our workshop fits right in. We do a lot of engineering work here, mostly fixing things or making parts that people can't find elsewhere. It’s a bit dusty and there’s always the sound of machines running in the background. My hands are usually covered in grease by noon. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. People from around the neighborhood bring in their broken machinery or sketches of things they need built. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. It’s just a shop floor with tools and metal scraps everywhere. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we get back to it as soon as we can. It’s not the quietest place to work, especially with the traffic on Old Rohtak Road humming along outside. We just focus on the job at hand. If a piece of metal needs cutting or a weld needs doing, that’s what we do. We don’t talk much, just work. You might have to shout a bit to be heard over the lathe. We’re just local guys doing mechanical work for whoever stops by. It’s a small space, but it serves us well for what we need to get done.
