Upkar Engineering Works

Upkar Engineering Works is tucked away on Old Rohtak Road at Basti Sarai Rohilla, number 19/174. If you know the area, you know it is mostly old buildings and a lot of narrow lanes. We do a lot of heavy work here, mostly engineering stuff involving machines and metal. The shop is always a bit noisy because something is always being cut or joined. It is a messy job, and our hands are usually covered in grease or oil by noon. We have been in Basti Sarai Rohilla for quite a long time, so we are used to the rhythm of the place. The trains passing by the station nearby add to the noise, but you stop noticing it after a while. We aren't a big factory or anything, just a local engineering workshop where we fix things and make parts. There is a lot of scrap lying around, but we know where everything is. It is hard work, standing on your feet all day and dealing with heavy iron pieces. We just open up early in the morning and stay until the jobs are finished. Sometimes a neighbor drops by for a chat or needs a small welding job done. We just do what we can. It is a simple operation at 19/174, nothing too special, just honest work that keeps us going day after day on Old Rohtak Road.
