Thousand Shades

Being on the 4th floor in Shakurpur means we get a lot of exercise every single day. Thousand Shades is tucked away at WZ 299, and the climb up can be a bit tiring if you aren't used to it. We don't have an elevator, so every box has to be carried up by hand. Our space is filled with different colors and materials, which I suppose is where the name comes from. It’s not a very big area, so we have to be clever about how we stack things so we still have room to walk around. The lighting isn't always the best, but we make do with what we have. Shakurpur is a very crowded neighborhood, and the view from the 4th floor is mostly just other rooftops and water tanks. We spend our time checking orders and making sure the shades are just right. Sometimes the neighborhood is so noisy with kids playing or people shouting that it’s hard to focus, but you get used to it after a few months. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy emails. It’s just us sitting around a small desk, trying to keep everything organized. We usually eat our lunch together right there among the stock. It is a simple setup, and we aren't looking to change it much. We just want to finish our work and get down those stairs at the end of the day.
