We’re based out in the Lawrence Road Industrial Area, at B-16. It’s an industrial spot, so there are trucks moving in and out all day long. We do packaging, which isn't the most exciting business for some people, but it’s what we’re good at. We have the machines running in the back and a small office space in the front. It gets pretty loud when the production line is in full swing and the cutting machines are going. We make various kinds of packing materials for other companies nearby and across the city. The floor is usually covered in scraps of paper or plastic, depending on what we’re making that day. We don’t have a fancy showroom for visitors. If someone wants to see what we do, they just come into the factory area and look at the machines themselves. It’s a family-run kind of place, really. My brother handles the technical stuff and I look after the orders and the customers. We’ve had some of the same workers for over ten years now. It’s a tough environment, especially in the heat of summer when the roof gets hot, but we keep the fans going and get the work finished. We don’t spend money on big ads or marketing. Most of our work comes from word of mouth in the industrial estate. It’s just a place where we work hard and try to stay on schedule. We just try to get the boxes out on time every day.
