The Kitchen Centre

You can find us at Ug-3 in the Vikas Royal Arcade. We are on Road No. 44 in Pitampura. Being in an arcade means there are always people wandering in just to look around. We have a lot of items on display, mostly things you’d need for a kitchen. It can get a bit crowded in the shop when we have more than four or five customers at once. The lighting isn't the best in the back of the store, but we try to keep everything visible. We spend a lot of time dusting the shelves because the road outside is always under some kind of construction. It feels like there’s always a layer of dust on everything. We handle the sales ourselves and often have to explain how certain items work. People ask a lot of questions about the materials and the sizes. We don’t have a big warehouse, so most of what we have is right there on the floor. When new stock arrives, we have to shuffle things around to make it fit. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes. The arcade has its own rhythm and we’ve become part of it over the years. We know the other shop owners nearby and often grab a quick lunch together when things are slow. It’s a decent place to work. We just show up, open the glass doors, and wait for the first customer of the day. It’s mostly about helping people find the right pot or pan.
