Shri Shyam Trading Company

Our warehouse is tucked away in the Narela Industrial Area, specifically at B-2319. If you know where Munimji Ka Bagh is, then you are pretty close to where we are. It is a big, grey building that looks just like every other one on this block. We handle a lot of different goods here under the name Shri Shyam Trading Company. Some days we are moving grain, and other times it is hardware or plastic goods—it really depends on what is in demand that month. The office is just a small corner with a fan that makes a lot of noise and a computer that is definitely showing its age. I have been working here since we first opened this particular branch. It is mostly just making sure the trucks are loaded properly and that the paperwork doesn't go missing in the shuffle. The dust from the construction down the street gets everywhere, no matter how much we sweep the floors. It is not the kind of place you would come to if you wanted a tour. We just do the buying and selling that needs to happen for our clients. Sometimes the phone rings constantly and other times it stays dead quiet for a long while. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the shipments to arrive from the main city. It can be a bit stressful when a delivery is late, but we manage. We have been in Narela a long time now.
