Shiv Engineering Works

Shiv Engineering Works is tucked away at K.No-152 Ram Kumar Ka Gar, which is right near the Atta Chakki in Rithala Village. If you know the village, you know it can be a bit of a maze, but the flour mill is a good landmark to find us. We’ve been operating out of this space for a good bit of time. It's an engineering shop, so there’s always the sound of grinding or welding going on. The space is a bit tight with all the lathes and workbenches, but we’ve got a system that works for us. We handle a lot of different repairs and small fabrication jobs that come in from the local area. Sometimes it's a broken gate, other times it's a part for a tractor or a machine someone uses in their own small business. We don't have a receptionist or anything; you just walk in and talk to whoever isn't holding a torch at the moment. Rithala still feels like a village in some ways, even with all the development around. We like being here because the rent is manageable and the people are straightforward. The walls are stained with oil and there’s metal shavings everywhere, but that’s an engineering shop for you. We just try to get the jobs done so people can get back to their own work. It is noisy and dirty, but that is the nature of the business.
