Sharma Engineering Works

Sharma Engineering Works is situated in the Mangolpur Kalan Industrial Area at 41349. It is a place where there is always the sound of metal hitting metal and machines running. We do a lot of basic engineering jobs like welding and fixing machine parts for other factories nearby. The air is often filled with the smell of grease and burnt oil. My clothes are almost always stained with something by the time I go home. We have a few big lathes and a welding station that has seen better days but still gets the job done. It’s not a clean place and we don't try to make it look like one. We just focus on the work that needs to be finished. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait for it to come back on. We drink a lot of tea while we wait. The industrial area is quite messy with old metal scraps and trucks parked everywhere in the dirt. We have a small corner where we keep our tools organized though they usually end up scattered across the workbench by noon. It is hard work and my hands are rough from it. We don't have any fancy brochures to show people. They just bring us their broken parts and we see if we can fix them. That’s how we have always done things here.
