Sanya Creations

Sanya Creations is on the second floor of a building called Gokul Dham in Rishi Nagar. It’s right across from the Canara Bank, which makes it easy for people to find us in Rani Bagh. Our space is usually a bit of a mess with fabric scraps, measuring tapes, and thread rolls everywhere. We have a couple of sewing machines that run for most of the day, so there is always a steady humming sound in the background. My sister does most of the cutting while I handle the stitching and the finishing touches. It’s a small operation, just the two of us and one helper who comes in the afternoons. The light in the workshop is actually pretty good because of the big windows facing the street. We get a lot of noise from the market downstairs, especially during the festival season when everyone is out shopping. People bring us their ideas, and we try to make them into something real. It’s not a fancy fashion house or anything like that. It’s just a place where we work hard and try to make things that look decent. Sometimes we stay late to finish an order if a customer is in a hurry for a wedding or a party. We’ve been in this building for three years now and we finally feel like we belong in the Rani Bagh community.
