S. M. Textiles

S. M. Textiles is based out of the S.S.I. Industrial Estate in Jahangir Puri. We are at number 45, right near G.T. Karnal Road. Being near the main road is helpful for getting things moved in and out. The industrial estate is a busy place with a lot of different businesses. We have our own unit where the machines run most of the day. It gets pretty noisy when everything is going at once, but we’re used to it. We deal with textiles, so there’s fabric and thread everywhere you look. It’s not the neatest place in the world, but we know where everything is. The staff is mostly people from around the local area. We’ve worked together for a long time. There isn't much hierarchy here; we all just pitch in when a big order comes through. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People come to us because they know we get the work done. The building has been here for years and it shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the cloth. If something isn't right, we fix it. It’s a straightforward business. We don't try to make it sound more important than it is. We just make textiles and try to keep our customers happy with the work we do.
