Respiratory Clinic

The Respiratory Clinic is located at number 67 in the D12 block of Sector 7, Rohini. This part of Delhi is very residential and laid out in a bit of a grid, so if you miss a turn, you end up circling the same park twice. The clinic is on the ground level of a typical Rohini house structure. It has a simple entrance that leads straight into a waiting room with a few rows of metal chairs. The air in Delhi can get pretty thick, especially in the winter, so the clinic often feels like a bit of a refuge from the smog outside. We have a small desk where the patient files are stored, and the person sitting there is usually busy sorting through the morning's paperwork. The walls are a pale blue color that was supposed to look calming but has faded a bit over the years. Outside, you can hear the vegetable vendors calling out their prices and the sound of cars navigating the narrow sector roads. It is not a silent place, but it is organized in its own way. The floors are scrubbed every morning before the first person walks through the door. There is a water dispenser in the corner that glugs loudly whenever someone fills a cup. People from the surrounding blocks know us well, and it is common to see familiar faces waiting their turn while the ceiling fan spins overhead. It is just a local spot for people in Rohini to get their breathing checked.
