Our office is located in the Central Market at Lawrence Road, specifically in the C-7/8 section of Keshav Puram. It’s a busy hub where there is always something going on. We handle export and import stuff, which means a lot of computer work and even more time on the telephone. The market can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. We have a modest setup here with a few computers and a printer that usually jams when we are in a hurry. It isn't a high-rise office with a view. We look out onto the street where people are constantly unloading crates. We have been in Keshav Puram for a good while and have made a lot of friends among the other traders. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. We are just a small team trying to make sure our shipments get where they need to go. Sometimes customs takes forever or a boat is delayed, and we just have to deal with it. It’s a lot of stress but we enjoy the challenge. We don't use big corporate talk. We just tell it like it is. If a shipment is late, we say so. We focus on doing the work and staying out of trouble. It’s a decent living in a lively part of town.
