Our studio is at QP-54 in Maurya Enclave, which is a part of Pitampura. It is a residential kind of area, so it doesn't have the same crazy rush as the main markets, which is something we actually like. The address is a bit tucked away in the enclave but it is easy enough to find if you are looking for the right house number. We work out of this space and it is filled with all the tools and materials we need for our art. There are usually pieces of half-finished work sitting on the tables and a bit of a mess in the corners. We don't try to keep it looking like a showroom because it is a place where things actually get made. The neighborhood in Pitampura is pretty steady and we see the same neighbors going for their walks every evening. Sometimes we leave the door open to let a breeze in, although that usually means a bit of dust comes in too. Maurya Enclave has a lot of trees and it feels a bit more relaxed than other parts of Delhi. We spend our hours here mostly focusing on the details of what we are creating. There is no big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is done right. It is a quiet existence but we stay busy with the work at hand and the daily chores of keeping the studio running.
