North India Compressors

North India Compressors is based at Khasra No. 351, specifically Godown No. 03 on Gtk Road in Alipur. Being out here near the main road means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy trucks passing by at all hours. Our godown is basically a large, functional space where we keep everything. It isn't a place designed for looks; it is designed for moving things in and out efficiently. The roof is high and it can get quite cold in the winter and very hot when the sun is beating down on the metal. We have a small office section carved out in one corner where the main desk sits. That is where most of the phone calls happen. Alipur is a bit out of the way for some, but for us, it makes sense because of the access to the highway. We spend a lot of time checking on the stock and making sure the loaders know where things are going. The floor is concrete and often has marks from where pallets have been dragged around. It is a working environment through and through. We usually have a thermos of tea going to get us through the long afternoons. It is quiet in some ways but very busy in others. We just focus on getting the daily tasks finished before the sun goes down and the traffic picks up again.
