K.B.G. Engineers is based at A 42 in Saraswati Vihar, which is over in the Pitampura area of Delhi. The pin code here is 110034. It’s a residential and commercial mix, so there is always a lot of movement outside our windows. We are a small team of engineers and we spend most of our time hunched over desks looking at blueprints and technical drawings. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a room with enough space for our computers and a big table for meetings. Delhi is a fast place, but we try to keep our corner of it a bit more focused. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just talk to the people who come in and try to explain things in plain English. Sometimes the power goes out or the traffic on the main Pitampura roads makes us late, but that’s just living in the city. We’ve been at this Saraswati Vihar address for a while now. People know us as the local engineers who don't make a big fuss about things. We aren't trying to build the tallest skyscraper in the world; we just want to make sure the jobs we do are solid and correct. It’s a lot of math and a lot of checking things twice. We close up the office at a decent hour and head home like everyone else in this neighborhood.
