Mohd. Akhlaq Engg. Works

Our workshop is located at 593/37 in Onkar Nagar, specifically in the C block area. If you’re coming down this way, just look for the Lal Mandir since we are quite near that. Tri Nagar is a crowded place, and our street is no exception. At Mohd. Akhlaq Engg. Works, things are usually pretty loud because of the machines running. We’ve got metal scraps and tools lying around on the benches, and there is always that smell of oil and cut iron in the air. It’s the kind of place where you’re going to get some grease on your hands if you stay too long. I’ve been working here for years, and the routine hasn't changed much. We open up early when the air is still a bit cool and get straight to the tasks on the floor. Most of our neighbors are also running small shops or workshops, so there is a lot of back and forth between us when someone needs a specific tool or a bit of help with a heavy part. The space is a bit cramped, but we know exactly where every wrench and bolt is kept. It gets really hot in the afternoons, especially when the welding is going on, so we take breaks for tea whenever the local tea stall guy walks past. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do.
