Life Business Projects Pvt Ltd has this small office at A1 102 in Sector 3, Rohini. It’s a typical Delhi setup in an apartment block. You have to walk up the stairs and the hallway is sometimes a bit dark if the bulb has gone out again. We’ve got a few rooms where we handle the business. The main room has the big table where we do most of the planning and talking. Rohini is busy, so there is always some noise from the street or the neighbors, but you get used to it after a week or so. It’s not like those corporate offices in Connaught Place. We just have our desks, some old chairs, and a small cupboard for the snacks we keep for late afternoons. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We spend most of the day here, mostly on the phones or typing things up. Sometimes the printer jams, and we all spend ten minutes trying to fix it. It’s just a normal workplace. When it’s time to leave, we lock up the heavy metal door and head out to the metro or our scooters. It’s a local operation, nothing more, nothing less. We just keep things moving along day by day without making much of a fuss about it. We just work here and try to keep things organized.
