Kaveetha Engineering

Operating out of Devasandra Industrial Estate in Bangalore is a bit different than it used to be years ago. Kaveetha Engineering is tucked away at number 118 on Whitefield Road, right in the middle of all the heavy workshops and small manufacturing units. It gets quite loud in the mornings when all the machines start up at once. We’ve been at this spot near Mahadevapura Post for a long time, watching the whole area change from quiet outskirts to this busy hub. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we spend a good chunk of our day just checking measurements and moving parts around. It isn't a clean job, and our clothes usually show it by lunchtime. We don't have any fancy reception area or anything like that. People just walk in through the main gate and find us by the noise. The traffic on Whitefield Road can be a real headache for our staff getting here, but once we’re inside the gates, we just focus on the engineering work in front of us. We have a few old benches where we sit for breaks. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we don’t need to say much to get things done. It’s just a regular workshop doing regular work, trying to stay on top of the pile of orders we have sitting on the desk.
