We have been here at Ashok Vihar Phase 1 for a while now. The office is on the first floor of building A 103, and it's a pretty busy spot in this part of Delhi. If you know the area, you know how the traffic can get in the afternoons, but inside it’s mostly just us working through files and talking on the phones. There are a few desks pushed together and some old cupboards where we keep all the consultancy paperwork. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step when coming up. We usually get tea from the shop downstairs around eleven and again at four. It is a simple place with white walls and a few maps pinned up. Most days we are just busy with clients or trying to sort out schedules. The Haryana border isn’t too far off, so we see people coming in from all over. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, but we manage. It’s not a fancy glass building or anything like that, just a regular workplace where we get our things done. We’ve got some plants by the window that don’t get enough sun, but they’re holding on for now. It feels like home after all these years. It’s just how things are here, no big fuss or anything, just work.
