We’re based out of the LIG Flats in Keshav Puram, over on Lawrence Road. It’s a busy part of New Delhi with lots of stuff moving around all the time. Our specific spot is A 2 24 B. It’s a modest setup, nothing like the big glass buildings you see in the city center. We deal with various financial services here, mostly helping local people get their paperwork sorted out. The office gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep it tidy. There’s usually a pot of tea going in the back for the staff. We spend the day processing applications and checking signatures. It’s repetitive work, but it’s what we do. The neighborhood has everything you need, so we usually grab lunch from the stalls nearby. Customers come in with their folders and we sit down to go through everything line by line. It takes time, and sometimes there’s a bit of confusion with the forms, but we just work through it together. There isn't any fancy music playing or soft chairs. It’s just a regular office in a regular flat. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know us. Sometimes the traffic on Lawrence Road makes it hard to hear, but we’re used to the noise by now. We open up early and stay until the last file is put away. It’s just how we run things here.
