Goel Industries

At C-55/1 in Wazirpur, Goel Industries is basically a big workshop filled with the sound of machinery. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything pretty. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings and the air smells like oil. We spend most of our hours making sure the machines are running and the workers have what they need. It’s a small team here and we’ve mostly known each other for a long time. There is a lot of shouting back and forth because the noise level is so high. We have a small cabin for the paperwork but most of the action happens on the main floor. Sometimes the machines break down and then it's a whole day of grease and frustration to get them back up. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy emails. We just answer the phone when it rings and tell people what we have in stock. The street outside is always blocked with trucks loading and unloading. You have to be patient if you’re trying to visit us. In the evenings, we usually sit for a few minutes before closing up just to catch our breath. It’s a hard way to earn a living but it is what we know. We just focus on getting the orders out and keeping the place running as best as we can.
