G. H. Engineers Pvt. Ltd.

I’ve been coming to 878, Rani Bagh for so many years now that the walk from the corner feels like muscle memory. We are G. H. Engineers Pvt. Ltd., but mostly we just think of ourselves as the guys working on G.H.K. Marg. It isn't a quiet place at all. There is always some noise from the street traffic or the machines running in the back room. The office part is quite small, tucked away behind the main workspace, and it gets pretty dusty after a long day. We have these old metal filing cabinets that screech every time you open them to find a file. My uncle started this thing a long time ago and we just kept it going. It’s not like those shiny tech companies you see on the news with the glass walls. We deal with real parts and grease. Some days the tea stall guy from next door brings over a round of hot chai and we take a quick break on the front step. The traffic on Rani Bagh can be a real headache in the late afternoon, so we usually try to get the heavy stuff moved out before four. We don't have a big staff here, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you ask for a specific bolt or a drawing, one of us will eventually find it under a pile of stuff. It’s a bit messy, I’ll admit that, but we get things done eventually. We don't use much fancy software. Just hands-on work.
