Free Lancing

You can find me over at C 5 133 in Keshav Puram. I’ve been living and working in this part of New Delhi for quite some time now. My business is just me, doing free lancing work across different projects. I don’t really stick to just one thing. If someone has a task that needs doing and I have the skills for it, I take it on. My setup is in one of the rooms here, nothing special, just a place to sit and concentrate. Keshav Puram is a busy residential area, so there’s always the sound of vendors or neighbors nearby. It keeps me from feeling too isolated while I’m working. I spend a lot of time on the computer, as most free lancers do. I don't have a fancy website or a big sign outside. Most people hear about me through word of mouth or old connections. I think that’s a better way to do things anyway. It feels more personal. I try to keep my schedule flexible so I can deal with things as they come up. Some weeks are incredibly busy and I’m working late into the night, while others are a bit slower. That is just the nature of this kind of work. I like the independence it gives me, even if it means I have to handle everything from the taxes to the actual work all by myself. It's just how I've decided to do things.
