We operate out of a flat in the DDA Mero Apartments over in Jahangirpuri. It’s flat number 282M in the MIG section. It might seem a bit unusual for a Bihar Government office to be tucked away in a residential part of New Delhi like this, but this is where we stay and do our work. The 110033 zip code is our corner of the city. It’s a regular apartment, not a big glass tower. We handle things for the state from here, acting as a link for whatever needs doing in the capital. The rooms are filled with files and some old furniture. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of paperwork to go through. Most days it’s just us handling the correspondence and making sure messages get to where they need to go back home. The neighborhood is typical Delhi, always something going on outside the window. We’ve been at this Jahangirpuri address for a while now. It’s a simple place. We don't have a receptionist or a big sign outside, just the flat number and our work. We make our tea in the small kitchen and sit at our desks for most of the day. It’s a practical way to have a presence here without too much fuss.
