Ashoka Engineering Works

Our shop is at Plot No-3273 in Mahindra Park, right in the Rani Bagh area. We are really close to the Punjab Dairy so you can usually smell the milk trucks going by early in the morning. Ashoka Engineering Works has been operating out of this same space for a long time now. It is a bit crowded inside with all the equipment and raw materials we keep on hand. We do a lot of metal work and fixing up old parts that people bring in. The lights in the back are a bit dim so we mostly stay near the front windows where the light is better during the day. It’s a busy neighborhood and there is always something going on outside. We know most of the people on this street by name. My cousin helps me out with the heavy lifting and we have one regular apprentice who is still learning the ropes. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or anything like that. People just find us by word of mouth or by walking past the dairy. Sometimes we stay late when a job needs to be finished but mostly we like to close up and head home before it gets too dark. The floors stay dusty no matter how much we sweep but that is just how an engineering workshop is supposed to look. It's just honest work we do here.
