Ab Wahid Engineering Works

I set up Ab Wahid Engineering Works out here in Mubarakpur Dabas. The address is Kh. No. 21/2, Village Mubarakpur. It’s a bit out of the main city, which I like because there’s more space to move the heavy stuff around. The village has its own pace. We aren't in a rush like people in the center of town. We mostly do engineering jobs, which means a lot of welding, cutting, and grinding metal. You can hear the sound of the grinders from the street when we are busy. It’s a small shop. I don't have a bunch of secretaries or managers. It’s just me and a couple of helpers. We take on whatever comes our way, from small repairs to bigger parts for construction. The floor is concrete and always has some scrap metal lying around in the corners. I try to keep it organized, but when you have three jobs going at once, things get messy. People from the village know where we are if they need something fixed. We don't do much advertising. Most people just heard about us from someone else. It feels good to finish a piece of work and see it look right. We drink a lot of water because it gets hot under the tin roof in the summer. That’s just how it is. We work until the sun goes down and then we head home to our families.
