Vinyl Bar Llp

You can find us at House Number 49 in the Mala area of Panaji. It’s an old part of town with narrow streets and a lot of character. We decided to call it Vinyl Bar because we actually like playing records while people have a drink. It’s not a club with flashing lights or loud speakers that hurt your ears. It’s just a room with some shelves, a lot of records, and a bar counter. The floorboards creak a bit and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it feels like someone’s living room. We spend a lot of time cleaning dust off the vinyl and making sure the needle doesn't skip when someone walks too heavy near the booth. It’s a bit of a hobby that turned into a business, I guess. We don’t have a dress code or anything like that. Just come in, sit down, and listen to whatever we’ve got spinning. Sometimes it’s jazz, sometimes it’s something older from the 70s. We don't really have a set playlist. Panaji is a busy place, but Mala stays a bit quieter, which suits us just fine. We’re not looking to become a chain or anything big. We just want to keep the records playing and the drinks cold. If the door is open, we’re probably in there somewhere. It’s a nice way to spend the evening.
