If you are walking around Mapusa near the Rajawado area, you will probably see us. We are Shop No.3 in the Gracinda Building. Shree Sai Santoshi Steel And Hardware is a bit of a mouthful so most folks just call us the hardware shop. We are right near Kenkre Hardware too. Our shop is packed from floor to ceiling. We have steel rods, hinges, hammers, and all sorts of bits and pieces. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We try to remember where everything is but sometimes it takes a minute to find that one specific bolt. The building is old and has a lot of character. We get a mix of people coming in. Some are contractors and some are just neighbors fixing a leaky tap or a broken gate. We don't have a big marketing team or a website that we update. We just open the shutters in the morning and start the day. It’s dusty work handling all that metal and hardware. Mapusa is always bustling so there is never a quiet moment. We like the energy here. We’ve been part of this street for quite some time now. When you spend all day around steel and tools, you get used to the smell of grease and metal. It’s an honest way to make a living and we wouldn’t change it for anything.
