Metal Fabrik India

You can find our workshop at 17, Lydia Gardens in St Inez. We are right near the PWD Water Supply Dept., which is a good landmark for people who haven't been here before. Metal Fabrik India is a small operation where we spend most of our time bending, cutting, and welding metal. It is hot work, and the shop is usually filled with the sound of grinders and the bright flashes of welding torches. We do all sorts of things, like window grills, gates, and even some metal chairs or table frames. It is a bit of a messy place, with scrap metal bits on the floor and jars of screws on every shelf. We don't have a fancy office or a secretary to answer the phones. Usually, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks up when it rings. We’ve been in this part of Goa for a while and we know most of our neighbors. Sometimes the rain gets really loud on the tin roof, and we have to shout to hear each other. We don't have any big corporate goals or mission statements. We just try to make sure the welds are strong and the customer is happy with the work. Most of our jobs come from people nearby who saw a gate we made and wanted one for themselves. It’s honest, physical labor and we are fine with that.
