Nivaan Properties Llp is situated out in Verna, at a place called Matol. The address is 25-F Matol, and it is in the Salcete part of South Goa. Verna is known for the big industrial estate, but our corner feels more like the actual village side. It is a bit of a drive to get here if you are coming from the main cities, but we like it. The office is pretty straightforward. We deal with property matters, which involves a lot of reading through legal documents and looking at site maps. The weather here can get quite intense, either very hot or very rainy, so the roof makes a lot of noise during the monsoon. We have a few chairs for visitors and a big desk where most of the work happens. It is not a fancy place with modern art on the walls, just a functional space where we handle our business. Sometimes you can hear the birds outside or the sound of a tractor in the distance. We mostly stick to ourselves and get through the tasks we have for the day. Being in South Goa, things don’t feel as rushed as they do in the north, which suits us just fine. We have a small kettle for making tea and that is about the only luxury we have here. It is a quiet place to work on property deals and look at the trees while we wait for the mail.
