The Grand Placement

The Grand Placement is over in Yamuna Vihar at B-1/40. Despite the name, we aren't some giant corporation with a skyscraper. We’re a small team in a local office in Delhi 110053. We help people find jobs, mostly in the surrounding areas. It’s a lot of paperwork and checking details. Our office is pretty simple—just some desks, a few chairs for candidates, and a lot of files. Yamuna Vihar is a nice area, but it gets very crowded during the evening. Our office is on the first floor, and the stairs are a bit narrow. We have a big white board where we scribble names and phone numbers, and it never seems to get fully erased. There's a small window that lets in some sun, but mostly we rely on the overhead lights. We’ve had the same furniture since we opened, and the chairs are a bit squeaky. It’s a modest place for modest work. We try to be honest with everyone who walks through the door. It’s a lot of work keeping track of who is hiring and who is looking. We don't have a big automated system; it’s mostly just us making calls and writing things down. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time on the phone. It’s a neighborhood business at its heart. We like being in Yamuna Vihar because it feels like home. We’re just here to do a job.
