S.J.B Engg. is located at 224, Chanderlok, in the Durgapuri Extension of Shahdara. Shahdara is a crowded place, and our street is no exception. We’ve been here quite a while, and most of the locals know our shop by the sound of the machines. It’s a small operation. There are only a handful of us, so we all do a bit of everything. One day I might be doing the books, and the next I’m helping move heavy crates. We don't have a fancy corporate structure or anything. It's just a workshop where we get things done. The space is a bit tight, so we have to be organized, though it might look like a mess to someone walking in off the street. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or marketing. We think if we do the work well enough, people will keep coming back, and so far, that’s worked out for us. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a project, and the street gets quiet except for us. We just like working with our hands and seeing a finished product at the end of the day. It’s not always easy, especially with the power cuts or the narrow roads, but we make it work. It’s our little corner of Shahdara and we’re proud of what we do here. There isn't much more to it than just showing up and putting in the effort.
