Silica Industries

Silica Industries is over in Shahdara, specifically at 2654, Street Number 6 in Bihari Colony. It’s an area where people live and work side by side. Our building is a simple structure on a narrow street. You might miss it if you aren’t looking closely at the numbers. We have been here for a good while, and most of the neighbors know what we do. The street can get dusty when the wind blows, and there’s always the sound of some machine or vehicle nearby. We start our day early when the colony is just waking up. There isn't much space for big trucks, so we have to be careful with how we load and unload things. The office part is just a small room with a couple of tables and some old cupboards for the files. We don’t have a lot of people working here, just a few of us who have been around for years. We handle the production and the paperwork ourselves. It’s hard work, and the summers in Shahdara are no joke. We drink a lot of water and keep the windows open for a breeze. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps during a break just to get some air. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Just a regular workplace doing what needs to be done every day until the sun goes down and we lock up the main gate.
