Shivam Marriage Home

We run Shivam Marriage Home at F397 Khajuri Khas, right on the Main Wazirabad Road. It’s a busy area in the 110094 zip code, and the traffic outside never really stops. The building is large enough to hold a good number of people for weddings or family parties. Most of my day is spent making sure the halls are swept and the toilets are working properly. We have a lot of decorations stored in the back rooms, and they get moved in and out depending on what the customer wants. It’s not a very modern place, but it gets the job done for the local families. I handle the bookings and talk to the families about what they need. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the loud music or the lights, so I have to manage that too. The front gate is right on the main road, so it’s easy to find but can be a bit of a headache with parking. My brother helps me with the electrical work because something is always breaking or a fuse is blowing. We don't have a big fancy office; I just use a small desk near the front entrance. It’s hard work, especially during the wedding season when we don't get much sleep. We just try to keep the place standing and the lights on for whoever needs it. It’s been a family business for a long time.
