Serco Gurgaon

Our office for Serco Gurgaon is actually situated in West Vinod Nagar, which is over in East Delhi. It’s a bit confusing because of the name, but this is where we do our daily work. The area is very crowded and the streets are quite narrow, so getting here can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to the local traffic. We have a modest setup here. It’s not one of those huge outsourcing centers you see on the news; it’s more of a local branch where we handle specific tasks. The building is tucked away amongst other shops and small businesses. Inside, it’s just rows of desks and people on headsets or computers. We spend a lot of time on the phone or managing schedules. The office is often a bit noisy because of the traffic outside and the general bustle of West Vinod Nagar. We usually grab lunch from the local vendors or bring stuff from home to eat together in the small break area. It’s a very practical environment without any of the bells and whistles you find in the bigger corporate hubs. We just focus on the work that needs to be done each day. Most of us have been working together for a while, so we know how to handle the busy periods when things get stressful. It’s a hardworking place with no pretenses, just people putting in their hours in East Delhi.
