Northern India Engineering College

The Northern India Engineering College is located right at Fc-26 in Shastri Park. It’s a busy part of the city, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and the metro nearby. Getting here is easy enough if you know the area, but the streets get crowded during the rush hours. The building itself is fairly large and holds a lot of classrooms. We have people coming in and out at all hours of the day. The labs have their own smell of solder and old machinery. It’s a practical place, not something you’d see in a glossy magazine. We have a cafeteria where the food is okay, mostly just quick meals for students on the go. The stairs are always full of people sitting and talking between their lectures. We keep the place running as best as we can, even when the air conditioning struggles in the middle of June. It feels like a small community inside those walls. The teachers are mostly busy grading papers or setting up experiments in the back rooms. It’s not a quiet place, but it has its own rhythm. Shastri Park has changed a lot over the years, but the college stays pretty much the same. We focus on the daily routine of teaching and learning without much fuss. It is a bit cramped at times, but that is just how things are in this part of town.
